it has been a while since i last wandered around here.
january has been a lot... applying for internships, reading three books a week, daily exercises, cleaning up what had piled up during the second half of 2025, trying to mantain a social life, fighting the second hand i have now phone after mine was stolen, and ~~struggling with mental health~~ (all while melting in the summer heat)... i blinked and it's suddendly february.

i wanted to post an update on what i've been working on, even in the middle of the chaos.

hey sweetheart one shot from ficwip: probably the longest one shot i've written until now (that's not a lot but still). i have a strong take on surveyor and emergency transport and i want to share it. they are so doomed and hungry and a mess... a hot, tragic mess i can never shut up about.
drabbles: whether from 100words , ficwip's biweekly drabbles or vocab_drabbles, they had been my salvation when i feel insecure about my skill (which is stupid!!!! why do i compare myself? why am i putting so much pressure on myself?) 100 words had helped me practice without expecting high stakes, but still feeling proud of mysef once done <3 i have so much fun with them.
summer ficlets: i just love tooth rotting fluff. i've been using the prompts in this bingo. for now, i'm focusing on those prompts that could be part of this modern AU where they (luchino and eli, who else!!!!!) are in a established relationship. that means summer fling will have to wait.
we eat doves post mortem drabble fest: from this community i found last time i checked dreamwidth! love the concept, love the prompts. even when i already have so much on my plate, i wanted to give it a try... then i realized i don't think i will add my fills to the collection. what if someone sees the profile and calls me out? it's just my anxiety talking, oh.

i think that's all? i keep finding prompts and challenges and events when i totally should focus on what i already have. yesterday i was literally looking from valentine's themed prompts for february, as if i didn't have everything above and a long story to finish...

actually, i don't use many websites aside from the big ones. that's something i'd like to change, and the reason why i wish i used dreamwidth more.
could be my autism (it totally is), but i adore making lists and tracking everything i do. my accounts in the websites i visited for that purpose have been forgotten for some years, and i've been slowly updating them recently.

listography, just lists and lists and lists. i'd spend a long time there when i was 18 years old, still in quarantine. i adored to click explore and see others peoples worlds. i had many more, but they had been privated as they are way too old. others, like the media list still public, need an update but are not thaaaaat far away, i think.
letterboxd, to track the films i watch. i'm abusing my streaming services privileges while i exercise, so there will be constant updates. though, i'm still too shy to leave written reviews and follow people.
goodreads. this one is a mess. i completely forgot about this account for years... so yeah, it's still a work in progress. if you check it, don't judge what i've read or what i have in favorites!!!! i'm still going through my library (and memory)

i can't believe i almost skipped this day, thinking i had nothing to talk about.
below, pets i've had and i would like to have, some rambling about neopets, and assigning pets to some of my otps.

huh, today i actually had a dream about my childhood dog last night. in a month, it will be two years since she passed away. if i start talking about her too much, i might get a bit down

so, let's look at the future instead. i'd love to have a cat. right now, i can't really have one of my family; they don't understand cats at all. they think they are emotionless and mean :( if they actually lived with one, they'd realize they aren't like that at all!! but i guess i'll just wait until i move out to adopt a kitty.
i also love hamsters! i had two russian dwarf hamsters, one as a kid and one as a teen. they were the cutest thing ever, probably my ideal pet. i'd love to have one again, but i want to make sure i can give it an proper setup: a large glass tank, igh quality food (not the cheap bags they sell here, where i've found bugs!!!), a san bath, and plenty of hides and toys.
in the meantime, i'll just keep watching hamster videos on youtube. i love those little furballs ughhh

virtual pets!
i've always adored them. as a 2000s kid, i spent hours in neopets. i went through many accounts, and in every single one of them i had a lupe. other pets i've had were a kougra, a zafara, a skeith (i adopted one once then i felt guilty about not getting them on my next accounts, even when i didn't like them that much). though, in my last one, my favorite became the xweetok. i regreted so badly not having one before. just look at this cutie <3

the pets could also have petpets, their own pets. and the petpets could have pets TOO, buggy critters named petpetpets ...that was crazy. the doost speaks to me in a way i can't explain. silly doost...

i remember there was this game about building an habitarium of petpetspets i adored. looking at pictures of it brings me so many memories. when they announced they would closed it i cried. oh, nostalgia is hitting hard.

assigning pets to a few of my opts because i can

luchino and eli: they already have brooke, eli's owl. for sure, luchino would bring lizards and snakes. eli wouldn't refuse, he finds adorable how he talks to the geckos when feeding them as if they were his babies (they are). let's just hope brooke doesn't try to eat em...
joseph and aesop: they're totally cat people. gatto made it canon! they would have 3-4 cats. all their friends are sick of them showing cat pictures every time they meet. OH they could even create an instagram account for them.
tracy and violetta: a rabbit! violetta wanted one and tracy couldn't refuse. at first, she wasn't excited at all, like it kept interrumpting her while working, but soon she warmed up to it. seeing violetta snuggling with it made her meeeeeelttt.
gyro and jhonny: aside form slow dancer and valkyrie, their horses, they could have a dog and a white mouse. the mouse is an obvious pick ofc. the dog is new!! it would be adopted, maybe without even planning to. johnny didn't know he needed a dog until he lived with one. after that, gyro has to make sure he doesn't spend all their money on it.
aki and angel: they would NEVER have a pet. they don't have the energy or time. or maybe fishes? angel would be looking them swimming around at it for hours. meanwhile aki is the one making sure they have everything they need.

haha that was fun. should i write a pet fic? i already added it to my to-do list.

like i mentioned in my last post, i've been planning to revisit old favorites.
sooo i borrowed netlix from a friend and discovered THEY ARE REMOVING STAR TREK LITERALLY TOMORROW??? needless to say, i'm currently in a marathon.

it's funny. i spent my entire teen years not really thinking about it, so you can imagine the look on my face when i realized long after that the show i loved at 8 years old had such an impact in fandom and shipping culture.

i never watched much of the original series, i was always more into the next generation, but MAN i totally get the spirk fans. i know i'll be thriving with decades' worth of fanwork. i rarely get to enjoy things that are actually popular!!!!

i really want to start using dreamwidth more, but i need to get a few things in order first.
dropping my to do list here:

find a new theme. the current one is okay but want something that feels more like me. maybe i'll learn enough html to tweak a layout myself? (hardly one from scratch, i can't barely make the cuts work </3)
follow more people. i've been a bit shy about suscribing to others. my current fandoms aren't huge here, but i see plenty of fans of shows and games i used to love. it could be fun to rediscover them!
organize my tags. they're a bit of a mess right now...
create a masterlist. just putting my works in one place. maybe sorted aus or events.

i'll be trying to do this as i keep posting. i don't want to let this account die.
