under construction!!

i really want to start using dreamwidth more, but i need to get a few things in order first.
dropping my to do list here:

• find a new theme. the current one is okay but want something that feels more like me. maybe i'll learn enough html to tweak a layout myself? (hardly one from scratch, i can't barely make the cuts work </3)
• follow more people. i've been a bit shy about suscribing to others. my current fandoms aren't huge here, but i see plenty of fans of shows and games i used to love. it could be fun to rediscover them!
• organize my tags. they're a bit of a mess right now...
• create a masterlist. just putting my works in one place. maybe sorted aus or events.

i'll be trying to do this as i keep posting. i don't want to let this account die.

newcomers has lots of resources about how to use Dreamwidth and where to find things you'll enjoy here.

The Follow Friday Master Post has lists of active communities by topic where you can look for some based on your interests, including some of the Most Useful Communities. Many bloggers use recurring posts to pin down their key interests and maintain activity, which is also a good source of inspiration if you aren't sure what you want to post yet.

snowflake_challenge is running in January. This is a big event with lots of activity where you can find new friends.

smallfandomfest and allbingo are worth a look because they are multifandom.

tv_talk, tvfanfiction, gaming, and videogamefanfiction are all broad-focus communities.

Good idea.

goals_on_dw has lots of resources including Arts and Crafts, Writing, Fannish 50, and Full Content on Dreamwidth. Some might have things you'd like to try, and they're also good places to find other fen.

I keep a desktop calendar to schedule recurring posts, or I'd never remember them all.
